Statice Donau Sun Birds is a soft pretty lavender blue shade. 
These plants are professionally grown with using tissue culture from Royal Van Zanten stock. This process is primarily used in agriculture to propagate high yeilding, disease resistant crops, the growing process also includes vernalisation to ensure the plant is ready to flower without needing a winter period. You cant get this quality of plant growing from seed.
Producing repeat masses of stems over an extended season. Grown for heat tolerance. No seeds are available in Australia for this new variety.
 
The stems are beautifully structured with lots of small florets at the ends if lateral branches. Up close the flowers may look very delicate and fragile, however they are super strong and versatile. Perfect for dry flower arragements too!
