Use: Cut flower, filler, volume element in bouquets
Height: 70–100 cm 
Spacing: 13–18 cm between plants
Transplant to finish: 12–16 weeks
Avoid root disturbance—plant gently and water in well
Photoperiod: Facultative long-day—longer days = faster flowering
Exposure: Full sun (6+ hours daily)
🌾 Soil & Fertility
Soil: Well-drained, fertile loam or potting mix
pH range: 6.0–6.5
Fertilizer: Apply balanced liquid feed every 2 weeks
Avoid high nitrogen—can cause excessive foliage and weak stems
💧 Watering
Keep evenly moist during establishment
Once established, water when top 2–3 cm of soil is dry
Avoid overhead watering—use drip or base watering to prevent fungal issues
🧼 Hygiene & Disease Prevention
Common issues: Damping off, Botrytis, root rot in poorly drained soil
Maintain airflow between plants—especially in humid conditions
✂️ Harvesting & Post-Harvest
Harvest stage: When plumes are firm and fully colored
Stem length: 60–90 cm ideal for bouquets
Post-harvest:
Strip lower leaves
Place in clean water with floral preservative
Excellent vase life and dries well for everlasting arrangements
