Approximately 90–120 days from planting, depending on temperature and planting date. They will start blooming sooner in warmer areas and finish earlier than cooler climates. Plant will start to die off as light increases and the days get warmer.

Cut Flower Tips
Best Harvest Stage
Its best to pick them after they have opened a few times, picking them early in the morning before the leaves behind the flower have folded back. Pick your flowers down to the base to encourage more flowers.
Vase Life
They have superb vase life lasting about 10 days with proper care.
Cut Flower Grower's Tip
Italian Anemone's perform best when planted during the cooler months, allowing plants to establish strong root systems before flowering in late winter and spring. Plant deep. Don't be afraid to cover some of forming leaves to ensure the corm that is forming is well under the soil. Check them as they grow to ensure the soil hasn't dislodged exposing the bulb. I find birds can often pull them out for fun. They are perennial plant and if left in the ground they will establish into a real performer flowering over a longer period in following years
